What happens when you drive a large nail through the rubber liner in the base of a shower to compress all of the wrinkles? You get a slow leak that will over the course of 8 years destroy the floor in front of the shower. This was the case with in the main floor bath in a home in east Redmond. The bathroom had beautiful shower but when the vinyl flooring was removed, we were looking at the furnace ducting and water lines. After making the necessary corrections a new shower was built using Wedi for a tile backing material. This is a 100% water proof liner that will never leak. The base was custom created and a Maax neo round shower door was installed. The customer asked that we coordinate the vanity with the shower so we created a custom vanity top re using the existing lavatory and faucet.
